Scrumpt, the nutritious lunch for little ones startup that debuted at TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco in 2015, not too long ago launched lunch meal kits with fresh food. Before, Scrumpt was only concentrated on non-perishable foodstuff and expected mothers and fathers to dietary supplement the lunches with products from property.
“We were not offering wholly on usefulness or nourishment,” Scrumpt co-founder Bri James advised me. “There was however the barrier of possessing to go to the grocery keep.”
Now, mothers and fathers can use Scrumpt as a just one-quit shop for their kids’ lunches just one 7 days at a time. Scrumpt’s spring menu delivers 14 choices, such as a pretzel slider with turkey, roasted chicken wraps and a fruit, yogurt and granola parfait. Including shipping, just one week’s value of lunches arrives out to $36. With a membership, Scrumpt provides to you every single weekend.
Scrumpt handles all of the shipping in-residence, which is a fair system for now. James explained it’s “totally doable” to tackle anywhere from 500 to 1,000 deliveries for every 7 days, but I would visualize that, at greater scale, Scrumpt could need to companion with a shipping organization or hire extra than the 6 people it does now.
Scrumpt, which is now bootstrapped, is only running in the SF Bay Spot, with ideas to expand to Southern California, and ultimately nationwide. James acknowledges that “getting contemporary foods throughout the region is logistically complex,” but is searching to expand nationally “sooner instead than later on.” As Scrumpt receives closer to that level, James explained, the company will request funding.
